ACCU-Ring Overview AT&T ACCU-Ring Network Access Service® is a private SONET ring providing dedicated high-speed access for consolidating all of your traffic including private line, switched and enhanced services, and all distance carrier traffic (voice, data and video). The state-of-the-art, self-healing dedicated SONET ring architecture protects your critical applications from being disrupted or degraded in quality due to loss of signal or transmission impairment. To ensure quality and reliability standards are maintained, every installation is thoroughly tested and monitored by the AT&T ACCU-Ring Service Center.
Description/Diagram ACCU-Ring establishes connections on a dual fiber ring network between AT&T Points of Presence (POPs), your premises and local access providers, employing a dual-fiber self-healing ring with a primary path and a protected path.

- Two-way digital channel for transmission of synchronous, asynchronous and Time Division Multiplex (TDM) signals via a private dual-fiber, self-healing SONET ring that assures the highest reliability for uninterrupted communications
- Consolidation of all traffic, including AT&T all-distance traffic (voice, data and video) and such AT&T services as T1, T3, OC-3, Frame Relay, ATM, WorldNet, Managed Internet Service (MIS), Video, AT&T Nodal services, Local Dial service and Ethernet services - Service Channels DSn speeds of 1.544 Mbps (DS1) and 45 Mbps (DS3), SONET speeds of 155 Mbps (OC3/OC3c), 622 Mbps (OC12c) and 2.5 Gbps (OC48c). - Ethernet Service Channels of 50 Mbps, 150 Mbps, 300 Mbps, 600 Mbps and 1 Gbps - Capacity for a minimum of 3 nodes/maximum of 16 nodes - 24/7 performance monitoring by the ACCU-Ring Service Center - Every installation is thoroughly tested to assure it meets the exacting parameters demanded for ACCU-Ring - AT&T offers one of the industry's most robust warranties with credits in the rare event of a service interruption. An interruption is when any node on the ring is isolated for one minute or longer, i.e., cannot accept input to or output from other nodes on the ring
